TreeThe Land

A land of natural abundance, nestled in a region renowned for its fertile soil—perfect for cultivating the finest pistachios. At MyTreehood, we have developed 145 hectares of pistachio orchard, grafting our trees in February 2020 and 2021 to ensure exceptional quality and sustainability.

Located near Tablas de Daimiel National Park, Finca La Nava benefits from the unique ecosystem of this protected wetland, supporting biodiversity and enhancing the surrounding environment.

The region surrounding Daimiel has rapidly become one of Spain’s leading pistachio-growing areas, with more farmers recognizing its low humidity, warm summers, and well-drained soil as ideal conditions for producing premium-quality pistachios.

What truly sets Finca La Nava apart is its unwavering commitment to organic and sustainable farming. For over two decades, the land has been EU Organic Certified, ensuring responsible agricultural practices that prioritize soil health and environmental conservation.

Our orchard is proudly part of the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and aligns with Spain’s national strategy for a greener future—emphasizing climate action, natural resource protection, biodiversity conservation, and the well-being of rural communities.

Plantation marking of 6x4 metres

Our soil has been thoroughly tested and proven to be free from Verticillium Wilt, a soil-borne fungal disease that poses a threat to pistachio trees. It provides the ideal depth and quality necessary for optimal tree growth. With its rich potassium content exceeding 700mg/Kg, our soil ensures the trees receive essential nutrients for their development.

We adhere to ecological farming practices to maintain the health and sustainability of our pistachio crops. By employing environmentally friendly techniques, we ensure the highest quality yield while prioritizing the long-term well-being of our orchard.

We are fortunate to have access to two wells and hold the necessary water extraction licenses. The water level remains consistent, situated between 8 to 15 meters deep depending on the season. This reliable water source significantly benefits our land and helps reduce electricity costs associated with irrigation.

Our meticulous planning extends to the arrangement of our trees. With careful consideration of the soil, climate, and tree species, we have implemented a spacing of 6x4 meters between each pistachio tree. This thoughtful design promotes optimal growth, allowing each tree ample space to flourish and thrive.

By choosing MyTreehood, you’re not just adopting pistachio trees—you’re supporting a sustainable agricultural movement that nurtures the land for generations to come.
